the lobby was locked when I arrived, how am I supposed to check in? also, the pool was filthy with cigarette butts everywhere—definitley not kid-friendly. I woudl ve been even more impressed if I received a complimentary drink for my troubles. I almost gave a good review but just couldn't with such a disaster of a stay.

proximity to beach access, spacious seasonal outdoor pool, charming ocean view
A thorough deep clean is essential!!! Update outdated pictures online!!! Address the missing bath mat situation—dangerous and slippery for families!!! The surprise damage deposit should be communicated earlier!!!

It was just a balanced option for a weekend escape in Myrtle Beach with outstanding value for money. The bed was surprisingly comfortable despite the overall state of the hotel. Bring your own cleaning supplies, just in case things aren’t as tidy as you’d hope.

Each morning, waking up to the beautiful sea view was the highlight of the stay. However, the cleanliness left much to be desired with noticeable dirt on surfaces, and the air conditioning struggled to maintain a comfortable temperature. The staff’s demeanor felt unwelcoming, which further detracted from the experience.

Checked in and the lady at the front desk was super friendly and had me laughing. I seriously felt welcome right away! The pool was a great way to unwind, and I enjoyed relaxing by it until closing time. The toilet had a little issue with the lever, but it didn't really put a damper on our fun. 🌊

Great beach access just steps away. Room had sand on the floor, and the balcony needed cleaning. Clean sheets were provided, and air conditioning worked well during the stay.

The Anchor Hotel had a double room with a sea view that was a great escape! It offered a cozy atmosphere, complete with a private bathroom and a flat-screen TV. The air conditioning was a lifesaver, keeping us comfy after a day at the beach. Plus, the balcony was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the ocean breeze.
The balcony could have used better cleaning.
